What’s your name, title and how long have you been doing nails?
My name is Marav, but I’m known as May. I am the salon owner of Brook and Hearth Salon.
I’ve been in the beauty industry for 12 years now.
What’s your favorite service?
My favorite part of doing nails is absolutely working with my amazing product: the Protective Gel Manicure.
What do you love most about working at Brook and Hearth Salon?
I love working at Brook and Hearth Salon because it feels like home—not just a job. Every day feels like I’m coming to visit my friends and family.
How do you want your clients to feel at Brook and Hearth Salon?
I love making my clients feel comfortable and pampered.
What’s one product or technique you swear by and why?
I can swear by my product. Brook and Hearth has one of the best in the industry—our Protective Gel Manicure. It requires no soaking or scraping and is healthier for your nails.
What’s your favorite nail trend or design?
I love doing cat eye French styles and enjoy exploring different colors.
When you’re not at the salon, what are some of your hobbies or passions?
When I’m not in the salon, I’m usually cooking, cleaning, or playing with my poker team—which I really enjoy!

It started of as a hobby in high school for the love of art and it turned into a career, so now it would be like 6 years.
I’ve been in the beauty industry for 12 years now.

I love working with the gel and making art on the nails

Protective gel and the application proves working with it is very satisfying. It helps strengthen and have a growth spurt on your nails!

When you’re not at the salon, what are some of your hobbies or passions?
I'm Colombian and Puerto Rican. I love cooking and hanging out with family and friends.

When you’re not at the salon, what are some of your hobbies or passions?
When I'm not at the salon, I enjoy my children and family. I love to watch my kids play sports. When I'm kid free, I enjoy dancing. My motto is less is more.

Hi! I'm Alexis and I've been in the nail industry for a little over a year.

I love doing French tips and chrome sets. Clean, bold and timeless looks are my go-to.

I try to create a calm, judgement-free environment where my clients feel heard and cared for.
What’s one product or technique you swear by and why?
Cuticle oil, hands down. It keeps the nails and skin healthy, helps prevent breakage, and makes every set look fresher, longer.
What’s your favorite nail trend or design?
I’m loving minimalist designs with negative space—chic, simple, and elegant.
When you’re not at the salon, what are some of your hobbies or passions?
I’m a big fan of musical theater! Nails are tiny details that say a lot. I believe in expressing who you are through every little detail, and I love helping people do that one set at a time.
